The ipw Ingenieurgesellschaft was founded in 1971 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Pierick, and shortly after continued together with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus-Dieter Wiegand. Since 2006 the legal form has changed to a GmbH & Co. KG (limited partnership with a limited company as general partner). It is both nationally and internationally recognized. General Manager is Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Dirk Isola. 

The ipw Ingenieurgesellschaft is accredited since 03/26/2015 according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020 by Germany’s National Accreditation Body (DAkkS) and thus offers an optimal level of objective quality assurance. It is regularly reviewed by independent external experts.
